Dear Parents,
This one is going to be a game changer! Our team will be participating in a fundraiser called "Look Who Has My Back". Not only that, the hard work has already been done and it's right here at your fingertips.
Read below to become familiar with the fundraiser and be sure to keep scrolling to access an easy to follow list of ways you and your athlete can begin promoting our fundraiser.
Each idea has pre-designed templates and wording you can copy and paste easily into text messages and social media posts!
Best of all, the funds our team raises will help support our team and competition fees.

SEND A TEXT MESSAGE!
The easiest and most successful way to get donations is to text the fundraiser flyer to close friends, relatives and business owners who would like to support your athlete.
Don't forget your child's best friends, teachers, other coaches, pastors, baby sitters, mentors, anyone who would love to support them and always has their back!
Be sure to include a personal message with the flyer asking for their support (you can copy and paste the one below, change the names in bold)
Example #1:
Hey Meme! NAME'S dance team is doing something super special and we wanted to share their team's fundraiser with you — it’s called “Look Who Has My Back.” She'd love to have Meme printed on the back of the shirt as one of the people who’s always been supportive. I’m attaching the flyer with all the info. Let me know if you have any questions, and thank you for always "having her back"! ❤️
Example #2: from the athlete:
Hey PawPaw, it's NAME! I hope you are doing well. My dance team is doing a super cool fundraiser called "Look Who Has My Back" to help us have a successful season. I would love to have your name printed on the back of my shirt as one of the people who has always supported me. I am attaching the flyer with all the info. Thank you for always "having my back"! ❤️

SOCIAL MEDIA POST
1 - Copy and paste the wording below.
2 - Add a photo and/or video of your child playing their sport along with the fundraiser flyer.
3 - Tag your friends and family who you know have your child's back.
4 - Engage with every comment on your post to boost visibility in the algorithm. And don’t forget to personally thank each donor for their support.

MAKE A QUICK VIDEO AND POST ON SOCIAL MEDIA:

This can give your fundraiser a huge boost!
Have you child say something like this:
"Hey guys, it's NAME and this season my dance team is raising money a really cool way. Anyone who supports me this season gets their name printed on the back of my t-shirt so I can literally dance with my favorite people's names on my back.
If you wanna support me, the link is in the comments.
And if you do, comment ‘DONE’ so I can thank you.”
Post the video and put the link in the first comment, not the caption.
OPTIONAL QUICK TIP: Before you post, text a handful of people (maybe even post in your team's group chat) and say: “Hey, when I post [NAME]'s fundraiser in a minute can you like, comment, and maybe tag someone? I’m trying to get it seen.”
You can also text this video to friends and family along with your donation link.
CONTACT THE LOCAL BUSINESSES YOU FREQUENT:
Print a few flyers and make a list of 5 business you frequent with your family. Drop off a flyer the next time you drive by or visit.
You can also Copy and paste the email below and send to the owners (dentist, coffee shops, restaurants, your employer, insurance agents, realtors, etc).
Hello [Business Owner’s Name], My name is [Your Name], and I’m reaching out to see if you would consider supporting [Player’s Name], and their team, Turning Pointe Dance & Acrobatics, this season.
Our team is running a fundraiser called “Look Who Has My Back.” It’s a unique t-shirt fundraiser where local supporters donate to help them cover their competition fees.
In return, the name of each supporter (or business logo) is printed on the back of my child’s team shirt, showing them exactly “who has their back.”
It’s a great way to support youth sports while also getting your business name seen and recognized by families and fans who attend our events.
